An Hong (安虹) is a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Science and Technology of China. Her main research areas are parallel computer architecture, parallel programming and operating system design. She is the founder and director of the Advanced Computer System Architecture (ACSA) Lab (http://acsa.ustc.edu.cn/) in USTC , that tackles the challenge of improving computational efficiency now that transistor scaling is ending. Now, ACSA's goal was to make parallel programming accessible to most programmers. Previously at the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT) of the Chinese Academy of Science, she joined in the Computer System Architecture Division from 2001 to 2005, investigating advanced architectures for energy-efficient high-performance computing. She has published more than 100 high-level papers in computer architecture and parallel processing, and has authorized more than 10 patents. She have served more than 20 computer architecture related domestic and international academic conference as PC members or PC chairs. She has gotten 15 honors and awards for her research, computer education and teaching achievement.
